What a fabulous project The Congathon was on Brighton Pier, this is certainly a #throwback with many happy memories. #SocialSoph spent a whole summer in Brighton working on creative Marketing projects for Brighton Pier and Brighton Tourism while #TotallyTor worked alongside her on building a web presence and marketing campaigns including The Congathon.

With the aim of raising money for charity and celebrating British Tourism Week, Brighton Pier joined with other attractions across the country to create a record for the most people doing the Conga at the same time. It certainly was a sight to behold as the Mayor and Mayoress of Brighton joined celebrities, locals, Elvis impersonators and Brighton Pier staff to Conga around Brighton Pier.

2,472 people registered for the Congathon and a further 300 joined on the day.

The whole idea behind the 'Congathon' was to celebrate tourism in the UK. This event has really portrayed show what a fantastic relationship we have in Brighton and Hove with our visitors and tourists.
